Move your school with the UDISE+ download
Every recognised school can download its active students from the UDISE+ portal, with PEN, class, section and parents' names. It needs nothing from your software company.
Download your active students
You want the List of all students (Active students), saved as Excel (.xlsx). It takes a few minutes.
From the UDISE+ school login guideOpen sdms.udiseplus.gov.in and log in with your school's 11-digit UDISE code and SDMS password.
In the menu on the left, open List of all students.
Choose Active students.
Press Download Excel (top right). Upload that file here as it is: don't edit it first.
Class, section, name, gender, PEN, parents' names, social category, minority group, BPL, special needs and stream for every active student.
Admission numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers and addresses. Add your own register or software's student list alongside it and the two are joined student by student.
Four screens, and nothing is saved until the last one
Open Move Your Data on your dashboard. Every answer is kept as you give it, so you can stop and carry on tomorrow.
The UDISE+ file as it downloaded. It says which report it is and how many students it holds.
Which columns are which, odd class names, two children with one number. Most important first.
Class strength section by section, your total against the one you know, and any student in full.
Your register, classes and sections are filled in, and you can undo the whole move for 30 days.
Add your software's list or an Excel register alongside
UDISE+ has no admission numbers, dates of birth or phone numbers. Upload a student list with them too, and the same child in both files becomes one student with the details from both.
