Step 1 — Find a course
There are three ways to find courses on Tuition.in:
A) Via a tutor or institution profile
Search for a tutor on /find-tutor, open their profile, and scroll to the Courses section. If a tutor or institution has published courses, they'll appear here with title, subject, and price.
B) Browse the courses directory
Go to /courses to browse all published courses. Use the filters to narrow by subject, level, language, or price.
C) Shared link
Tutors often share their course page URL on WhatsApp or Instagram. Opening any/courses/{tutor}/{course-name} URL takes you directly to the course page.
Step 2 — Compare batches
A course can have multiple batches — different timings for the same programme. For example: a JEE Physics course might have a morning batch (7–8 AM) and an evening batch (7–8 PM). Each batch has:
- Name — typically the timing or cohort label (e.g., "Morning Batch 2026", "Weekend Batch").
- Price — may differ between batches. Evening batches sometimes cost more due to demand.
- Start date — when the first class is scheduled.
- Capacity — the maximum number of seats. When full, the Enroll button shows "Batch full."
- Teachers — the faculty assigned to this batch may differ between batches in the same course.
Step 3 — Enroll & pay
- On the course page, find your preferred batch and click Enroll.
- If you're not logged in, you'll be prompted to create a free student account or log in.
- For free batches (₹0): Enrollment is confirmed immediately — no payment step. You'll see a green "Enrolled" badge on the batch.
- For paid batches: The Razorpay checkout opens. Choose your payment method (see below), complete the payment, and wait for the success screen.
- On payment success: you receive a confirmation email with your receipt and the class schedule.
Payment methods
- UPI — scan the QR code or enter your UPI ID (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.). Usually the fastest — completes in under 10 seconds.
- Debit / credit card — Visa, Mastercard, RuPay. 3D Secure (OTP) verification applies.
- Net banking — available for all major Indian banks.
- Wallets — Paytm, Amazon Pay, and other Razorpay-supported wallets.
- EMI — available on select credit cards for high-value courses (usually ₹3,000+).
Step 4 — After enrollment
Once enrolled, several things happen automatically:
- Your student dashboard at /dashboard/student/classes shows all upcoming classes for your batch.
- You receive email reminders 30 minutes before every scheduled class.
- The tutor or institution can see you in their enrolled students list and may reach out via WhatsApp or email with welcome information.
- If any assignments are already posted for this batch, they'll appear in your assignments page.
Step 5 — Join your first class
- Go to /dashboard/student/classes. Your upcoming class is listed with the date, time, and subject.
- The Join class button becomes active 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
- Click it — the class room opens in a new tab. Allow your browser to access your microphone and camera when prompted.
- You enter as a participant. Wait for the teacher to start the session.
Accessing recordings
Missed a class? All sessions are recorded automatically and available within 15 minutes of the class ending.
- Go to /dashboard/student/recordings.
- Find the class recording by batch name and date. Click Watchto stream in the browser.
- Download the recording using the download icon in the player if you need an offline copy.
Requesting a refund
If you're not satisfied or the course doesn't match what was advertised, you can request a refund:
- Go to the course page and find your enrolled batch.
- Click Request refund. Describe your reason briefly — this helps the tutor understand and respond.
- The tutor or institution has 48 hours to approve or decline.
- If approved: Razorpay processes the refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
- If declined: you'll see the reason and can escalate to [email protected] if you feel the decision was unfair.
FAQ
Can I switch from one batch to another?
Batch transfers aren't available self-serve. Contact the tutor or institution directly — many will accommodate a timing change. If they can't, request a refund from the current batch and re-enroll in the preferred one.
I paid but I'm not showing as enrolled — what do I do?
Wait 10 minutes for the payment webhook to process. If enrollment still shows unconfirmed, email [email protected] with your Razorpay payment ID (found in the payment SMS or email from Razorpay). We'll manually confirm the enrollment.
Can two students share one enrollment?
No. Each enrollment is tied to one student account. Live class access, assignment submissions, and recordings are all per-account. If two siblings want to attend the same course, they each need their own enrollment.
Is there a trial period?
Many tutors offer a free demo batch. Look for the "Free demo available" badge on the tutor's profile. Alternatively, check if the course has a ₹0 batch you can enroll in to sample the content.
Can I enroll after the batch start date?
Yes, unless the tutor has set an enrollment deadline or the batch is full. Late enrollment gives you access to all recordings from before your join date, plus all future live classes. You won't be able to submit assignments whose deadline has already passed.
