Get your student list out of MyClassboard

You want the Student Nominal Roll Report, saved as Excel. It takes a few minutes.

Steps from MyClassboard's own help pages

Academics Reports Student Nominal Roll Report Export Excel
  1. Log in to MyClassboard and open Academics on the dashboard.

  2. In the bar at the top, open Reports and choose Student Nominal Roll Report.

  3. Choose the Status, Class and Section, and show the report.

  4. Press Export Excel. If it shows one class at a time, export each class and upload them all.

Then, on tuition.in

Four screens, and nothing is saved until the last one

Open Move Your Data on your dashboard and choose MyClassboard. Every answer is kept as you give it, so you can stop and carry on tomorrow.

1Upload the file

The MyClassboard file as it downloaded. It says which report it is and how many students it holds.

2Answer what needs you

Which columns are which, odd class names, two children with one number. Most important first.

3Look over your school

Class strength section by section, your total against the one you know, and any student in full.

4Go live

Your register, classes and sections are filled in, and you can undo the whole move for 30 days.

Add the UDISE+ download alongside

MyClassboard's list brings admission numbers, dates of birth and phone numbers. The UDISE+ download adds each child's PEN, category and the details the government holds. The same child in both files becomes one student.

If MyClassboard won't export

Ask MyClassboard for your school's data

Your school's records are yours. If the export is locked or missing details, send this to MyClassboard's support team. Until it arrives, the UDISE+ download gets your students and classes in.

Subject: Full export of our school's data

Dear MyClassboard team,

Please send us a complete export of our school's records in Excel or CSV:
  - every student, current and left, with admission number, name, class and section, date of birth, gender, parents' names, phone numbers, address, category, PEN and every other detail on record;
  - fee structures, dues still outstanding, and receipts, as separate files.

This is our school's own data. We'd be grateful to have it within seven days.

Thank you.
Questions schools ask

About moving from MyClassboard

Do we have to stop using MyClassboard first?
No. You only download a report from MyClassboard; nothing in it changes. Keep using it while you check your school here, and for as long as you need it after.
What if our MyClassboard screens look different?
These steps are from MyClassboard's own help pages, and menus move between versions. Any report that lists your students with their details works: look for Student List, Student Details, Student Master, Nominal Roll, and export it to Excel or CSV.
Does the MyClassboard file need cleaning up first?
No. Upload it as it downloaded. The school name and session at the top, class headings, totals, and headings repeated on every page are all understood and skipped; only the students go through.
What if MyClassboard won't let us export?
Two ways round it. Download your active students from the UDISE+ portal, which every recognised school can do without asking anyone. And send MyClassboard the letter on this page: your school's records are yours.
Is anything saved before we've checked it?
No. You see every student, class and section, and your total against the number you know, before you press Go live. After that, one click undoes the whole move for 30 days.
Is tuition.in connected with MyClassboard?
No. MyClassboard belongs to MyClassboard. tuition.in reads the files it exports and isn't affiliated with it.
