Overview
The Parent Dashboard gives parents a read-only view of their child's performance across all enrolled courses — attendance, assignment grades, test scores, and diagnostic mastery levels — updated in real time. Parents can monitor multiple children from the same account if more than one child is enrolled.
Linking a child account
- Register or log into Tuition.in and go to Dashboard.
- If you haven't been automatically assigned the Parent role, go to Account Settings → Role and select Parent.
- On the Parent Dashboard, click Link a Child.
- Enter your child's registered email address or their student ID. A link request is sent to the student's account.
- The student must accept the link from their own account (Dashboard → Settings → Linked Parents → Accept). Once accepted, their data appears on your Parent Dashboard.
Reading the dashboard
Each linked child appears as a card on the Parent Dashboard. Expand the card to see their full data. The information shown includes:
| Section | What you see |
|---|---|
| Attendance | % of classes attended; colour bar (green ≥ 75%, amber 50–74%, red < 50%) |
| Assignments | Submitted vs total; average grade; overdue count |
| Tests | Scores on recent tests; average score |
| Mastery Levels | Subject-level diagnostic mastery (🔴/🟡/🟢/🔵) from the Learning Profile |
| Enrolled courses | Course name, tutor name, batch schedule |
The progress bar colours follow the same mastery scale used throughout the platform: green is good, amber is developing, red needs attention.
What to do with the data
- Low attendance (red): Discuss with your child why they are missing classes. Use the direct message feature to contact the tutor for context.
- Subjects with red mastery: Encourage additional study using flashcards and the AI tutor chat (Aiden). Consider booking extra one-on-one sessions.
- Overdue assignments: Prompt your child to submit outstanding work before the tutor marks it as missing.
- Share with the school: Use the student's Progress Report share link to send a summary to their school teacher or counsellor.
Privacy
- Parents can only see data for children who have accepted the link request.
- Students can revoke the parent link at any time from their Account Settings.
- Parents cannot send messages on behalf of the student, submit assignments, or modify any student settings.
- The parent account is separate from the student account — logging in as a parent does not give access to the student's full account.
