Your school, the exact branch. The coaching centres and tutors you go to alongside it. And a record that moves with you when you change schools.

Overview

Knowing your school lets your AI tutor follow your school's board and pace instead of guessing. We ask for the exact branch, not just the name: "Sri Chaitanya School" is dozens of different schools in Hyderabad alone.

Picking your school

  1. Check the city on the right of the search box. Tap it to change it, or use Use my location.
  2. Type part of the name. Short forms work: DPS, KV, ZPHS. So do spellings like Sree Chaithanya.
  3. Add your area to jump straight to your branch: chaitanya kukatpally.
  4. Tap Near me to list branches nearest to you first, with the distance.

If we don't already know a school, we look it up on the map as you type. Results marked Map come from there.

Branches and namesakes

When a chain has several branches in your city, they appear together, for example Sri Chaitanya · 13 branches · Which branch is yours?, and you pick the one by its area. Some names are shared by schools that have nothing to do with each other (there are many "Vivekananda" schools). Those appear as Different schools with the same name, so check the area before you pick.

When your school isn't listed

Choose Can't find it? Add your school, then type the name as it's written on the board outside and the area it's in. The area matters. It's what keeps your school apart from others with the same name, and it means your classmates find the same one. A school added this way shows Added by students until we confirm it.

Moving schools

Choose Moved schools? on your school and pick the new one. Your old school stays in your history under Before, with the date you moved.

If you picked the wrong school by mistake, choose Wrong school? (under the pencil) instead. That replaces it without recording a move. Whenever you pick a different school without saying which one you mean, we ask: I moved, or Fix a mistake. We never guess.

When you finish school, choose Passed out.

Coaching and tutors

Add as many coaching centres and private tutors as you actually go to. They sit alongside your school. If your tutor is on tuition.in, pick them from the suggestions so your entry links to their profile. Batches you've joined on tuition.in appear by themselves under Through tuition.in. When you stop going somewhere, choose Finished and it moves to your history.

In the AI tutor chat

Tell the tutor where you study ("I'm in Sri Chaitanya", "I moved schools") and the same school search opens right in the chat. Pick your branch there and it's saved. See AI tutor chat.

Who sees what

  • You see and change everything here.
  • Parents you've linked see it read-only, on the School tab of their dashboard. See Parent dashboard.
  • Your school, coaching centre and tutors are not told. Adding them here doesn't share anything with them.
  • It's included when you download your data, and it's deleted with your account. See Data protection.

Questions

My school has the wrong name or area. Pick it anyway, then tell us through Support. We correct the listing for everyone.

I see my school twice. Pick the one with your area. Tell us about the duplicate and we'll merge them. Your choice carries over.

Does picking a school sign me up for it? No. It only tells your AI tutor and your study plan where you study.
