Vedic Maths Speed Tricks for ages 9–14
Vedic maths is a set of mental shortcuts that make certain calculations much faster. Done well, it builds number sense rather than replacing it. Over four sessions your child learns five methods, understands why each one works, and uses them on timed sets drawn from school and Olympiad-style problems.
Five fast methods for multiplying, squaring and checking, used without pen and paper
How 4 sessions get there
Each session is 60 minutes, live, and builds on the last. Your child is doing something for most of it.
'All from 9 and the last from 10' for subtraction from powers of ten, then multiplying numbers close to 100, like 98 x 97.
Square 35, 65 or 115 in seconds and see the algebra behind it. Then multiplying by 11 without writing.
Multiply any two two-digit numbers in one line, and see that it is ordinary long multiplication, rearranged.
Digit sums to catch mistakes in a second. A final timed challenge across all five methods.
