Class battles

A quick quiz round for the whole class, mid-lesson — with a leaderboard that moves as they answer.

Tutors & Institutions4 min read
Who this is for
Tutors and teachers running a live class who want a fast, fair check of the whole class — and a jolt of energy.

Overview

In the live class side rail, the Battle tab starts a quiz round for everyone in the class: ten questions from our hand-authored, verified question bank, thirty seconds each, faster right answers scoring more. Students play on their own screens; the class sees a live leaderboard. It's the same engine as student Quiz Battles.

Starting a round

  1. In your live class, open the Battle tab in the side rail (next to Chat, Polls and Groups).
  2. Pick the exam and a section (or Mixed).
  3. Press Start the round.

Only the class's host — the course owner or a teacher of the batch — can start a round.

What students see

The round appears on every student's screen and their side rail switches to the Battle tab. They press Join the battle and play in the side rail while the class carries on. A student who joins the class late still gets the round that's running.

The live board and results

  • As students answer, the Live board updates with each student's score and how many questions they've answered.
  • When you're ready, press End & show results. The final results — scored on our server — appear for the whole class.
  • Start another round any time; each round is new questions.

Where results go

Every student's answers count as verified practice: in their Learning Genome, their misses in their Error Book, and XP. Because the Genome feeds Student Insights, the round shows up there as mastery on the topics it covered.

Common questions

Which subjects?
Any exam in the verified bank — NEET, JEE, SSC, banking, CAT, CUET, NDA, UPSC, CLAT, GATE and more. Class 11–12 science and maths classes can use JEE Main or NEET sections. School rounds for Class 6–10 aren't available yet.

Can students see the answers early?
No. Each answer is revealed only after the student answers, and the timing is measured by our server.
