This paper has a published internal split — Business Mathematics 40 marks, Logical Reasoning 20, Statistics 40 — and that split should drive the order you prepare in. Logical Reasoning is the highest-return block in the whole Foundation: 20 marks that need no formula, no theory and no revision decay, and which can be secured almost completely by practice alone. Statistics is the next most reliable, because its questions are computational and repeat in a narrow set of shapes: central tendency and dispersion, then correlation and regression, then probability and the three standard distributions. Business Mathematics is where time is lost rather than marks, so the discipline is to recognise the question type in the first read and abandon anything that is not resolving within ninety seconds. The 0.25 penalty is milder than it feels: on four options a blind guess is worth +0.0625 on average, and +0.167 once one option is eliminated. Both are positive, so the correct rule is to answer every one of the hundred questions and to spend the saved deliberation on elimination rather than on deciding whether to attempt.
