Overview
Open Workbooks in the sidebar. A workbook has a cover, a contents page, and units. Each unit holds lettered activities (A. Fill in the blanks, B. Answer in one or two sentences…), and each activity holds numbered questions. The studio lays the book out on A4 itself, so the contents page gives the true page each unit starts on.
Three kinds
- School workbook (Classes III to VIII): cover, contents, serif type, comfortable writing lines.
- Primary activity book (Classes I and II, pre-primary): large rounded type, wide four-line bands, room to draw.
- Practice sheets (coaching, Classes IX to XII): no cover, compact, numbered straight through.
Activities
Fill in the blanks (type ___ where the blank goes), multiple choice, true or false, match the following, short and long answers, a squared grid for sums, handwriting practice, draw and label, complete the table, a reading passage with questions, a word box, a picture, a note, and a page break. Match the following prints its right-hand column scrambled, the same way every time, so the answer is never straight across.
Space to write
Set Space between writing lines for the class: a Class II child writes about twice the size of a Class IX one. Every ruled line, table row and handwriting band follows it. Each question's number of lines, a grid's rows and a drawing box's height are set under Selected. Handwriting bands show the model solid on the first line and dotted to trace below.
From your question bank
Under Add, search your question bank and click a question to add it. A multiple-choice question comes in with its correct option; any other question becomes a short answer with its model answer kept for the key. Questions are copied in, so later edits to the bank do not change a printed workbook.
The answer key
Switch to Answer key to see, and print, the answers unit by unit: the correct option, T or F, each match, and the model answers. Questions with no answer set are counted, not invented.
