Overview
Most of what you study from was not written by us: it is your coaching module, your teacher's slides, your own notebook. My Library reads it, works out which chapter of your syllabus it covers, and builds a study kit from it. Every flashcard, quiz question and answer points back to the page it came from, so you can always check it against the thing you own.
Adding material
The box at the top has four tabs:
| Tab | What you can add |
|---|---|
| File | A PDF, a Word file (.docx), a PowerPoint (.pptx, speaker notes included) or a text file. Drag it in or tap to choose. Scanned PDFs — the kind most coaching notes are — are read by AI, formulas included. |
| Photos | Up to 12 photos of pages, in order — your notebook, a handout, a textbook page. Handwriting is fine. |
| Paste | Any text of at least a paragraph — typed notes, a transcript. |
| YouTube | A lecture link. See Lecture Link. |
Adding takes a few seconds: the file is read page by page, then matched to your syllabus, and you land on it ready to study.
The syllabus match
After reading, we compare the material with every chapter of your board and class (and any exam you chose at sign-up) and suggest which chapter — or chapters — it covers, with the pages for each: “Pages 3–9 match CBSE Class 10 Maths › Quadratic Equations.”
- Yes, that's right confirms it.
- The × on a chapter removes a wrong suggestion.
- Pick a different chapter lets you choose it yourself: track → subject → chapter.
When a file covers several chapters, a Build from row lets you build the kit from the whole file or from one chapter's pages at a time. If no match appears, add your class and board (or exam) to your profile, then pick the chapter by hand.
Your study kit
Each tool on the left is built the first time you open it, then kept.
| Tool | What you get |
|---|---|
| Flashcards | About 16 cards from your material. Rate each Again / Hard / Good / Easy and it comes back when it is due (spaced repetition). |
| Quiz | Eight board-style multiple-choice questions, each pointing to its page, marked instantly with the reasoning. Wrong options are the mistakes students actually make. After you submit, verified practice questions from the matched chapter unlock too. |
| Ask your material | Chat about the material — see below. |
| Listen | An audio episode of the material — see below. |
| Mind map | The whole material on one screen, main ideas as branches, exam-heavy branches starred. |
| Study guide | Dense revision points, a glossary, and likely exam questions with typical marks. |
| Syllabus check | What your syllabus examines that this material skips — see below. |
| Notebook | A full revision notebook in Notes Prep Studio, merged with the matched chapter. Blocks from your file carry a Your upload chip. |
| Pages | Exactly what we read from your file, page by page. |
New set on flashcards and the quiz builds a fresh one. A long file is built from its first part — the panel says so (“From pages 1–18 of 42”); build from one chapter to cover the rest.
Ask your material
Ask anything about the material — a step you didn't follow, what a term means, how an example was solved. Answers cite the pages they used; tap a page chip to open it. If the answer isn't in your material, the reply is labelled Not in your material — general explanation, so you always know what came from your notes.
Listen
A 4–5 minute audio episode made from the material, in three formats:
- Conversation — a teacher and a curious student talk it through. Best first listen.
- Lecture — one teacher explains it start to finish.
- Rapid-fire revision — a question, a pause to think, then the answer. Active recall with your eyes shut.
Each comes in English, Hindi or Telugu; technical terms stay in English, the way you're taught. Tap Read along for the script.
The syllabus check
Once the material is matched to a chapter, the syllabus check compares it with that chapter's learning outcomes, key formulas and exercises, and tells you what is missing (examined but not in your material), what is thin, and what your material adds beyond the syllabus. It is the quickest way to find out whether a coaching module is enough on its own.
Pages and citations
Everything in the kit points back to where it came from: p. 7 for a PDF page, s. 4 for a slide, § 2 for a section of a Word file or a paste. For a PDF, view original on any page opens your file at that page.
Privacy
- Your material is private to you. No other student, tutor or institute can see it.
- It is never used to answer anyone else's questions.
- To read it and build your kit, it is sent to our AI provider. For students under 18, this needs a parent's consent for AI help — see Data protection.
- The bin icon on an item deletes it, its file, and everything built from it.
Limits
- Files up to 25 MB; the first 60 pages are kept.
- Scanned PDFs up to 24 pages; the first 12 are read.
- Up to 12 photos at a time.
- 12 new items a day, and 30 kit builds an hour. Audio episodes: 4 an hour.
Common questions
The match is wrong. Does it matter?
Only if you confirm it. Remove the wrong chapter and pick the right one — the kit keeps working either way.
Is a flashcard or quiz question ever wrong?
They are written by AI from your material, so check anything surprising against the page it cites. The verified questions that unlock after a quiz are hand-checked by our team. If a question is wrong, use the flag on it after marking.
Can I share my kit?
Not yet. The notebook it builds can be shared from Notes Prep Studio.
