CAT 2026 — 60-Day Crash Course

This is a revision course for candidates who have already worked through the CAT syllabus and now need percentile, not coverage. The topic list is deliberately short. Only the highest-weight areas are taught — Reading Comprehension, which alone is 60% of VARC; Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, which together are 70% of DILR; and core Arithmetic, the largest block in QA. These are where marks concentrate, and they are also the areas most responsive to focused practice in a short window. CAT is scored on a percentile, which means you are competing against other candidates rather than against a syllabus. In the final sixty days that has a practical consequence: learning a new topic rarely moves your percentile, but improving question selection in DILR or reading speed in VARC frequently does. This course is built around that distinction. Sectional percentiles are treated as a hard constraint throughout, because IIM shortlists apply sectional cutoffs — a lopsided profile fails even at a strong overall percentile. Eligibility & who can join: • A bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST and PwD candidates). Final-year students may apply, subject to producing proof of completion. • There is no age limit and no cap on the number of attempts. • No specific graduation discipline is required — the course builds Quantitative Ability from foundations, which matters for candidates who have not studied mathematics since Class 10. How the course is structured: Sessions are practice-led rather than teaching-led: each runs a set of questions under real timing first and analyses the decisions afterwards. DILR is scored on set selection as well as on solving, because choosing the right two or three sets inside 40 minutes is the single highest-leverage CAT skill and the one most amenable to improvement in a short window. VARC runs a daily reading block on unfamiliar subject matter. QA concentrates on Arithmetic, where the largest share of questions sits. Full-length mocks run twice weekly under the exact 40-40-40 sectional lock with the on-screen calculator, each followed by a review of attempt decisions rather than of solutions.
