How toppers play this section
Language II mirrors Language I in structure and question style — CBSE tests the same comprehension-plus-pedagogy blueprint regardless of which two languages a candidate pairs (English paired with Hindi is the most common combination, but any two of the roughly 20 offered languages work identically for exam purposes). Because the pedagogy and acquisition theory here is the same body of knowledge as Language I — the four language skills, whole-language versus phonics, Chomsky's Language Acquisition Device, multilingualism as a classroom asset — the fastest prep path is to master the concepts once and apply them to whichever language pair you sit for; only the comprehension passages themselves differ by language. Budget your reading time exactly as in Language I: two passages worth roughly 14-16 of 30 marks is the single biggest lever in this section too.
