How toppers play this section
Business Laws is marked in three parts, and students who lose marks here almost always lose the same one. State the provision, apply it to the facts you were given, then conclude — a right answer with no provision behind it reads as a guess, and a provision quoted without being applied reads as recitation. Name the section where you know it and describe the rule accurately where you do not; ICAI's suggested answers reward the substance of the provision even when the number is missing, but they never reward a bare conclusion. The Indian Contract Act is the largest chapter by a wide margin and is worth studying as one connected argument rather than nine separate units, because its structure is a sequence: what makes an agreement, what makes it enforceable, what makes it void, what discharges it, and what follows a breach. The Negotiable Instruments Act and the Companies Act reward precise definitional memory, and partnership rewards knowing which rules can be displaced by the partnership deed and which cannot.
