ATTITUDE DETERMINES SUCCESS. Success in life depends not on what happens to us, but on how we RESPOND to what happens to us. This is the central message of the great achievers we have studied. Nick Vujicic was born without arms or legs — circumstances that would defeat most people. Yet through sheer ATTITUDE — refusing to see his disability as a limitation — he became a motivational speaker who has inspired millions. Similarly, Abraham Lincoln failed in business, politics, and personal life for nearly 30 years. Yet he persisted with a positive attitude, learning from each failure, until he became one of America's greatest presidents. Thomas Edison tried 10,000 different materials as filaments before inventing the practical light bulb. He famously said he had not failed — he had 'successfully found 10,000 ways that won't work.' This attitude — seeing failure as information, not defeat — is the foundation of all great success. Narayana Murthy started Infosys with ₹10,000 and a belief that performance and integrity would prevail. They did. In conclusion, our circumstances do not determine our success — our ATTITUDE toward our circumstances does. As Nick Vujicic says, 'No arms, no legs, no worries.'
