1. About the Story
Theme: Gentleness, kindness, problem-solving, patience
A milkman's cow decides to STAND in the middle of the road. She will not move. Many people try to push, pull, and shout at her — but nothing works. Finally, a little child tries a DIFFERENT approach.
2. The Story
The Stubborn Cow
Every morning, the milkman takes his cow for a walk. But one day, the cow STOPS right in the middle of the road. She will NOT move an inch. She just stands there, CHEWING her cud calmly.
The Milkman Tries
The milkman PULLS her rope. 'Come on, come on!' Nothing. He pushes her. Nothing. He shouts. Nothing. The cow just looks at him with her BIG, calm eyes.
The Neighbours Help
Neighbours gather. A strong man tries to PUSH the cow from behind. The cow does not move. A woman brings a BUCKET of fresh grass — the cow ignores it. A boy shakes a STICK — the cow does not care.
Everyone Gives Up
One by one, everyone gives up. 'This is the most STUBBORN cow in the world!' they say. The milkman is WORRIED. How will he get the cow home?
The Little Girl
A little girl named RADHA comes forward. She does NOT push or pull or shout. She walks up to the cow GENTLY. She strokes the cow's head softly. She WHISPERS something in the cow's ear.
The Cow Moves!
To everyone's AMAZEMENT, the cow starts walking! She follows Radha home. The milkman is THRILLED. He asks Radha, 'What did you say to her?' Radha smiles. 'I just said, 'Please come, mother. Your calf is waiting for you at home.''
