About RRB NTPC
RRB NTPC recruits for non-technical popular categories across Indian Railways — Station Master, Goods Train Manager, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant and Accounts Clerk among them.
Selection runs through CBT 1 and CBT 2, followed by a skill test (typing or computer-based aptitude, depending on the post) and document verification. CBT 1 is a common screening stage for all posts.
CBT 1 is 100 questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes, covering Mathematics (30), General Intelligence & Reasoning (30) and General Awareness (40). There is no sectional timing, so candidates move freely across the three areas.
What a good score unlocks
- Appointment is to Level 2 to Level 6 posts in the Railways, with the level depending on the post and the educational qualification required for it.
- Posts are divided into undergraduate and graduate categories, and CBT 1 performance determines progression to the appropriate CBT 2.
