About CUET UG
CUET UG is the common entrance for undergraduate admission to central universities and a growing number of state, deemed and private universities. It replaced the board-marks-based cut-off system that previously governed admission to institutions such as Delhi University.
Candidates choose a combination of subjects: language papers, domain subjects corresponding to what they studied at Class 12, and a General Test. The specific combination required depends on the university and programme applied for.
The General Test covers general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning and logical reasoning. It is required by many programmes and is the section most candidates prepare for least.
