Siliguri Boys' High School, established in 1898 as a Middle English School, is one of the earliest and most prestigious educational institutions in Siliguri, West Bengal. Officially recognized as a High English School in 1918, the institution has a rich history of providing quality education to boys in the region. In 1957, it was converted into a multipurpose high school, offering streams in Science, Commerce, and Humanities, making it the first of its kind in the area.

The medium of instruction was shifted from English to Bengali to cater to the local community's needs. The school's first secretary, Rai Saheb Surendranath Bhattacharya, played a pivotal role in its development, serving from 1904 to 1940. Under his leadership, the school expanded its facilities and academic offerings, solidifying its reputation as a leading educational institution. Over the years, Siliguri Boys' High School has been committed to holistic development, emphasizing not only academic excellence but also moral and physical growth.

The school's motto, "VIDYAYAHAMRITAMSHNUTE," translates to "Through Knowledge, Immortality," reflecting its dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals. The institution has a history of notable achievements, including the recent accomplishment of student Akash Tarafdar, who made his Under-16 Bengal Team debut in December 2024. This highlights the school's emphasis on extracurricular activities and sports, fostering talent beyond academics.

The school's infrastructure includes 16 well-maintained classrooms, a library with an impressive collection of 2,500 books, and a dedicated playground for physical activities. Additionally, the school is equipped with 22 computers and a computer-aided learning lab, bridging traditional and modern teaching methods. The faculty comprises 43 male and 7 female teachers, all dedicated to providing quality education.

The admission process is designed to be transparent and accessible, with information available on the school's official website. The school operates from Monday to Friday, with specific timings, and on Saturdays until early afternoon, ensuring ample time for both academic and extracurricular activities. Siliguri Boys' High School continues to uphold its legacy of excellence, preparing students to face future challenges with wisdom, conviction, and compassion.
