Karnataka State Law University

Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), established in 2009 through the Karnataka State Law University Act, stands as India's first and one of the premier state law universities dedicated exclusively to legal education and research. Headquartered in Hubballi with a major campus in Bangalore, this specialized university was created to elevate the standards of legal education across Karnataka by bringing all law colleges under a unified academic framework.

KSLU serves as the affiliating university for over 75 law colleges across Karnataka, including prestigious institutions in Bangalore, Mysuru, Mangaluru, and other cities, impacting the legal education of thousands of students annually. The university offers a comprehensive range of programs including 5-year integrated BA LLB/BBA LLB/BCom LLB programs, 3-year LLB courses, and postgraduate LLM programs in specialized areas of law such as constitutional law, criminal law, corporate law, intellectual property rights, and international law.

KSLU has established centers of excellence for legal research, clinical legal education, and alternative dispute resolution, promoting practical legal training alongside theoretical knowledge.
