Bengaluru North University

Bengaluru North University, established in 2017, represents Karnataka's progressive approach to decentralized higher education, created to serve the rapidly expanding northern regions of Bangalore and surrounding districts. As one of the three universities carved out from the erstwhile Bangalore University, BNU has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing quality higher education to students in Bangalore Rural district and northern Bangalore urban areas.

The university currently affiliates over 50 colleges offering diverse programs in sciences, arts, commerce, management, and professional courses, serving a student population of approximately 60,000. Despite being young, Bengaluru North University has quickly established administrative efficiency and academic rigor, focusing on curriculum modernization, digital education infrastructure, and industry-academia collaboration.

The university has been actively working on establishing research centers, promoting faculty development, and creating student-centric learning environments.
